Ron is an Honorary Consultant, at Hospital for Tropical Diseases’ and emeritus Professor of Travel Medicine at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine(LSHTM).
Ron established the first NHS travel clinic in 1989 and helped setup NaTHNaC.
Ron is dedicated to education and has run Travel Medicine course for the past 20 years and taught diploma and master’s students at LSHTM. He has chaired the educational and migrant health committee and sat on the board of the International Society of Travel Medicine.
From his research, he has published extensively on a range of travel health problems.
