Mrs Christine Skinner
Ex-Dean of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine
Biography
Christine was elected to the post of Dean of The Faculty in June 2020.
Christine’s involvement with the College started in 2007 when she organised the first Podiatric Medicine Symposium and organised each annual symposium till the Faculty was established in 2012.
Christine was admitted as one of the Founding Fellows in 2012 and served on Faculty Board as an ordinary member for a period of 6 months. She held the post of Honorary Clinical registrar in September 2014 till November 2018 during which time she, along with colleagues from the Faculty, developed the Membership Examination. In 2018 Christine was elected as Vice Dean and Dean Elect in 2019.
Prior to Retiring from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2014 Christine was a Senior Lecturer and held roles as programme Lead for Masters programme in Theory of Podiatric Surgery and Podiatric Medicine and later Podiatry BSc(Hons).
Throughout her academic life Christine remained clinically active as part of the multidisciplinary Diabetes team at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, till September 2017.
