Diet and Obesity Strategy Breakfast Seminar

Poor diet is now the number one burden on NHS in terms of costs associated with chronic disease.  2 out of every 3 adults in Scotland are overweight or obese.

The challenge and consequences of poor diet, overweight and obesity are faced by clinicians every day.  The Scottish Government is currently consulting on their strategy to improve diet and tackle overweight and obesity  ‘A healthier future - action and ambitions on diet, activity and healthy weight’.

This is a key opportunity to use the experience and expertise of our members to influence future action.  Members are therefore invited to a Breakfast Seminar in Glasgow on Tuesday 16th January to discuss the College’s response to the Scottish Government’s consultation.  Speakers at the event will include Lorraine Tulloch, Programme Lead for Obesity Action Scotland. Come along and get involved.  A healthy breakfast will be served!
