Trainee Committee Update

29 Nov 2017

Dr Arrianne Laws, Chair of our Trainee Committee, gives an update on the latest trainee news.

Our Trainee Committee members have been working on your behalf across a range of issues over the past few months.

We’ve made a contribution to the working group drafting and finalising GIM quality criteria; trying to ensure these are written into the GMC National Training Survey so that they can be used to evaluate the quality of physician training posts. We’ve also been coordinating the College’s input to the RCP London Year of Women in Medicine event and contributing to the drafting of a survey of physicians in training about ‘acting up’ as the medical registrar and the impact this has on career choice and other issues.

Other ongoing work has included the organisation of the Medical Undergraduate Conference, CV bootcamp and the medical and surgical buddy schemes.
