This year is the fifth annual collaboration between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the British Cardiovascular Society. This year's programme provides a forum where cardiologists and all medical and allied health professionals with an interest in cardiology will have the opportunity to meet and directly interact with renowned, world-class cardiology experts.
This hugely popular cardiovascular educational conference provides a unique learning experience, delivered in an open, supportive, enjoyable and friendly atmosphere. Expert chair-persons and cardiology opinion leaders from across the UK will present a comprehensive clinically relevant review of the latest evidence, which is shaping the rapidly changing landscape of cardiovascular medicine and the sub-specialties.
We are delighted to confirm Sir Magdi Yacoub as our keynote speaker this year. Sir Magdi is responsible for establishing heart transplantation in the UK, carried out the first British live lobe lung transplant, and went on to perform more transplants than any other surgeon in the world. Sir Yacoub's lecture promises to be a highlight of this ever-popular College event.
With endorsements from past speakers and delegates, including Dr Iain Simpson, Past-President of the British Cardiovascular Society - "[Dr Hany Eteiba] always produces a stellar conference. Sounds like 2018 will be right up there with the best", we're sure this year's conference will be the best yet. Our Conference Director (President of the Scottish Cardiac Society and Vice President, Medical), Dr Eteiba, warmly invites you to join us on the day:
