  • Join us on the 28th January for a virtual chat with best-selling author and medical historian ES Thomson. We’ll be discussing her career, the inspiration behind the Jem Flockhart books, and what’s next for our heroine when we meet her again in the fifth instalment of the series, Nightshade. We’ll also be delving into our shared medical history passions!

The event is free to attend but please book in advance and we’ll send you details of how to join in with the conversation which will be hosted via MS Teams.

ES Thomson has a PhD in the social history of medicine and works as a university lecturer in Edinburgh. She was shortlisted for the Saltire First Book Award, the Scottish Arts Council First Book Award, and the William McIlvanney Crime Book of the Year Award.
