Covering many key supervision principles in the context of an educational and clinical environment, including leadership styles, leading teams and mentoring, this course will provide you with skills to support your trainees.

Delivered by professional clinical leadership and management experts and senior clinicians, this half day course will provide you with enhanced skills for delivering education and training.

Demand may be high and places are subject to availability.

    GMC Recognition of Trainers

From 31 July 2016, all medical and surgical trainers need to be recognised as such by the GMC. This will inevitably create an increased demand for appropriate CPD opportunities in this area. The approval process will apply to all those who hold a named trainer role in secondary care. Postgraduate deans and medical schools will now formally recognise medical trainers in four specific areas: in undergraduate education, this will affect those responsible for overseeing students' progress at each medical school and lead coordinators at each local education provider; while in postgraduate training, this will be named educational supervisors and named clinical supervisors.

If you would like further information about the GMC Recognition of Trainers, this can be found on the GMC website.
