Will Keys graduated from Glasgow and after hospital training posts in Glasgow and Newcastle, he completed his specialist training in Dundee Dental Hospital. He was appointed as a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry in NHS Grampian in 2018 where he has significant involvement in the dental management of head and neck oncology patients.
Aims
To gain an understanding of the dental pathway involved in head and neck oncology and long term management in general dental practice.
Objectives
At the end of this session participants will:
- Be familiar with the dental pathway for head and neck oncology patients.
- Understand the importance of close clinical follow up.
- Be familiar with the potential side effects of oncology treatment to the oral and dental tissues.
- Have an awareness of the potential dental rehabilitations available for patients.
