  • This 2 day course will allow delegates to begin safely interpreting their own CBCT scans having been introduced to what normal 3D anatomy looks like. Delegates will then know when to refer on for a level 3 expert Radiological or surgical opinion should an anomaly or significant pathology arise.

At the end of the 2 day course an initial Level 2A Certificate will be issued, in order to complete certification attendance at the follow-up Level 2B course on 23 August 2019 is required.

For information and to book your place on the Level 2B Certification course please click here.

    Course Aims

To allow dental clinicians an introduction and overview of CBCT in order to comply with current guidelines. This will build on any standard IRMER course and CBCT (level 1) training already undertaken.

    • An understanding of Radiation dosages and how patient dose experience is potentially affected by the CBCT imaging modality.
    • An ability to recognise normal 3D CBCT anatomy and appreciate common pathologies that may appear in the scanning Field of View (FOV)
    • An ability to structure a CBCT report IRMER Operator (Reporter role)
