Mike Greene

Mike is a semi retired Consultant in Emergency Medicine living in Cumbria. His roles are: team member and doctor for Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team, member of BASICS and MERIT doctor and Medical Officer for Mountain Rescue England and Wales.He is the Clinical Lead for the Diploma of Medicine in the Faculty of Pre Hospital Care. Mountaineering interests include easy grade rock climbing; non terrifying ice climbs and trekking throughout the world, Mountain expeditions have taken him to Africa, Nepal, Kashmir, China, Norway, Peru and New Zealand. I have spent a season working at Machermo High altitude Clinic in Nepal and another as a doctor on a ski field in NZ. Mike skis with more enthusiasm than style! Fun trips include dog sledging in Sweden and kayaking with icebergs in Greenland.
