Become a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgery

Dental Fellowship

Fellowship of the Faculty of Dental Surgery is a demonstration of commitment to the College and an acknowledgement of an individual's contribution to the dental profession, its standards and practice.

Fellowship of the Faculty of Dental Surgery is offered to dental surgeons who, in the opinion of College, have made substantial contributions to their specialty or who are senior members of the dental profession and whose published works and attainments are, in the opinion of the Council, of such distinction as to justify election.

Fellowship is open to those who are Fellows of another UK or Irish Royal College and to those who have successfully completed their specialist training and have passed the Intercollegiate Specialty Fellowship Exam (ISFE).

Why apply?

Fellowship is a mark of excellence and an indication to your patients and your peers of your standing in the profession. Fellows are identifiable by the post-nominal FDS(Glasg). Fellows who have progressed to fellowship following completion of an ISFE are identifiable by post-nominals relevant to their specialty.

Fellowship of the Faculty offers a wide range of membership benefits that have been tailored to suit your needs as a dental surgeon.
