Final Year Podiatry Students from 2019 and 2020. All candidates who submit a poster and abstract will require their dissertation tutor to endorse the application by way of an email.

Final Year Students and 2019 Graduates
For the second year, the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons is delighted to promote its Clinical Research Awards for all final year undergraduates podiatry students and 2019 graduates who are based in the UK and Ireland. To enter, applicants are required to submit an electronic poster and supporting 500 word abstract for review by a Panel from the Education and Executive Boards of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine. The aim of the awards are to stimulate an interest in the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine to graduates and to allow student engagement and participation in a formal academic external review process and for applicants to showcase their achievements and work.
Abstract and Poster
The poster should focus on clinical outcomes, which can incorporate applied clinical research and how this can complement clinical practice. The abstract should present a reflection on previous experiences that are clinically focussed. All candidates who submit a poster and abstract will require their dissertation tutor email to PodiatricMedicine@rcpsg.ac.uk that endorses their student’s submission. All entrants are requested to:
For the Abstract:
- Provide a 500 word abstract that details a reflective process of the previous clinical experiences and how this impacts on your own professional clinical practice and career development.
- References should not be used in the abstract.
- The abstract should be produced in Microsoft Word (or similar compatible equivalent).
- Please ensure that your abstract is saved as a Portable Document Format (PDF).
For the Poster:
- You are advised to follow a structured approach that incorporates relevant subheadings of your own choice. The poster should be critical in nature and synthesise key points. Clinical relevance and outcomes to the content should also be clearly stated. Illustrations are encouraged, but should follow the appropriate referencing format.
- The poster should be produced in Microsoft PowerPoint (or similar compatible equivalent) with a page set up of 70cm by 90cm. presentation of the poster will be online only.
- Please provide name on the poster along with your supervisor (s). Please also include your university logo.
- Please ensure that your abstract is saved as a Portable Document Format (PDF).
